Today we traveled to the enthusiastic Shikharapur Community School in Dakshinkali to raise awareness on school bullying & its effects through an interactive drama performance.
It told the story of young Asmita Dhakal who is bullied by her two classmates, leading to deterioration in her mental and physical health. The performance also raised the topic of cyber bullying, a rising issue in today’s times. As part of the interaction, many students came up with solutions to Asmita’s harassment.
The drama was a roaring success and the students vowed to stand up against bullying of any kind.
For a wider reach performance will be staged in other schools outside of Kathmandu Valley as well.
