Role
Craig is Co-Director of Publishing Services for the editorial agency Prepare to Publish, working for a variety of trade publishers, with a particular specialism in structural edits of fiction and non-fiction.
He teaches creative writing and screenwriting widely on writers retreats and at writing festivals and has a particular interest in born digital literature, the history and function of narrative, and the grammar of narrative forms.
Under the pen name C M Taylor, Craig is the author of six novels and is the co-writer of a feature film. His 2011 novel Premiership Psycho has been optioned for TV by the rapper and director Plan B and Craig has written the pilot.
For his novel, Staying On (Duckworth 2018), Craig worked with the British Library who installed software on his laptop to record his writing process.

Craig Taylor
Craig Taylor is the author of the bestselling Londoners and New Yorkers, winner of the 2021 Brooklyn Public Library Prize for Nonfiction. His other books, Return to Akenfield and One Million Tiny Plays About Britain, have both been adapted for the stage. His writing has appeared in the New York Times, the Guardian, the Globe & Mail and Granta.
